DAY 1; DAR ES SALAAM TO NYERERE NATIONAL PARK
You will be picked up at the hotel or airport in Dar es Salaam and transferred to Nyerere National Park, a journey of approximately four to five hours. Upon arrival at Kituri Selous Camp, we check in and relax before the evening boat cruise on the Rufiji River.
This safari lets you experience aquatic life, mostly crocodiles, water birds, and hippos. You can see various animals come to drink water at the river and an uncountable number of bird species. Expect to see a fantastic sunset before we return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 2; STUNNING GAME DRIVE IN NYERERE NATIONAL PARK
You will have an early breakfast at 7:00am before embarking on a short five-minute drive to the gate of the Nyerere National Park. You will have a full-day game drive with a professional guide in a specially modified safari vehicle. During the game drive, you will see and learn about the animals sighted. The resident wildlife includes lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebra, and the rare African wild dog.
The park boasts a variety of birds, incredible scenery, and varied topography—wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forests, and higher ground with views of far-off mountains. Enjoy your packed lunch and time to rest. Your guide will select a location with shade and water nearby to watch the animals as they come to drink water, a place with a clear view all around so that no predator can creep up unseen! You will return to your accommodation by 6:30pm to see the spectacular sunset and dinner.

DAY 3; NYERERE NATIONAL PARK TO DAR ES SALAAM
You will have an early morning walking safari with a bushman across the reserve and learn about the park’s history, the trees used to make traditional medicine and animal footprints. The walking safari is a perfect way to see smaller animals you cannot see during a game drive. You will return to the camp for breakfast afterward.
After breakfast, you will start driving back to Dar es Salaam with a lunch box and stop for lunch along the way. You will arrive in the early evening, and Widman’s Tours & Safaris will take you to a hotel or airport. The drop-off marks the end of the safari.
